Edit: No, you're NOT sorry because you STILL haven't bothered reaching out to me to even attempt to resolve the issue.Stay FAR away from this leasing office if you can. I rented here for almost an entire year without asking the leasing office for ANYTHING. Always paid my rent on time, never caused any sort of trouble ever. Then, the ONE time I asked them for help during an emergency, they denied my very reasonable request to have someone drive 8 minutes to my apartment to unlock the door. That's it. That's all I asked for after a year of staying here; for someone to come unlock my front door because I was out of town and my girlfriend got locked out while it was 90 outside. When I asked for this simple request over the phone, the woman from the leasing office replied in an unnecessarily rude and abrupt tone saying "No, but she can come to our office and pick up a spare key and bring it back." I was a bit surprised to hear that response to what I consider a very simple and reasonable request, but I didn't even protest or argue at that point. I just bought my girlfriend two ubers to get to the office and back so she can get inside my apartment. But that's just the beginning. The woman at the office gave my girlfriend the WRONG KEY, and when my girlfriend called to explain this, the woman at this leasing office had the audacity to tell my girlfriend to COME BACK to the office and pick up ANOTHER key. So my girlfriend had to explain that she does not have her car with her, and that she shouldn't have to pay for ANOTHER two ubers just because the lady at the leasing office screwed up and gave her the wrong key. So did the woman at the leasing office own up to her mistake and make it right? Of course not. She doubled down and told my girlfriend to PAY A LOCKSMITH TO GET BACK INTO THE APARTMENT. All because she didn't want to make an 8 MINUTE DRIVE to my apartment and open the door with the spare key that she already has. Mind you, this was my first time asking this office for ANYTHING during my year-long occupancy, and this is how they reacted to the most simple request. But it gets worse. I then called the leasing office myself later that day to ask them why this happened. I started off very polite, explaining that I don't usually complain about things but this time I really felt like they were in the wrong. The woman on the phone IMMEDIATELY became super defensive and snarky, repeating over and over that "it's their policy" and that she didn't even need to come out and help at all. She literally told me that, by their "policy", she could have just left us to deal with the locksmith, as if I should be THANKING HER for being so incredibly lazy that it took 45 minutes of arm twisting and uber rides to get her off her chair to take an 8 minute drive to my apartment after SHE messed up and gave us the wrong key. The entitlement was like nothing I've ever seen before, and when I called her out on it, she HUNG UP ON ME AND DODGED MY SUBSEQUENT PHONE CALLS TO THE LEASING OFFICE! I called back about 4 times, and she kept denying every one of my calls until the office closed for the day. I left a message asking someone to call me back, and still havent heard anything back from them the next day.So, since I can no longer talk to my own leasing office, I will turn to every outlet I can to warn people about this disgusting leasing company and their entitled employees. As much as I don't want to move, I will be running FAR AWAY from these disgraceful people. I have been nothing but the nicest, most compliant, and least problematic tenant to this company until now, and this is how they treated me after finally asking them for just a pinch of help during an emergency. So for anyone who is considering renting with these people, BE AWARE that it is, in THEIR OWN WORDS, in their "policy" not to help you during an emergency, and to instead refer you to a locksmith to drill into your doorknob if you get stuck outside, even though it would take the leasing office a total of 8 minutes to drive down and simply open the door for you.
